Frog And Nightgown


Frog And Nightgown, Newcastle-upon-Tyne

An unusual name for a pub. Ted Ray used to end his radio show, the popular BBC series 'Raise A Laugh,' by saying that 'he was off to the Frog and Nightgown.' The latter was a real inn situated in Old Kent Road, London, and the pub here takes its name from this famous counterpart.
