Mother Shipton - Knaresborough, North Yorkshire

Mother Shipton was reputedly born locally in a cave during the 15th century. Her fame derives from her foretelling of the Gunpowder Plot, the death of Cardinal Wolsey and the development of much of modern technology, including aircraft the telegraph etcetera.
