The Omnibus


The Omnibus - Leeds, West Yorkshire

Horse-drawn omnibuses first appeared in the late 1820s and were novel enough to inspire inn names such as this. The name was further perpetuated when motor omnibuses, such as the one featured on this sign, replaced trams. 'Omnibus' is actually a very apt title for a pub because in Latin it means 'for all.'
